About painting

The paintings by Lukáš Pažitka could be described by mild, cultivated and extremely original colorism of unusual scales, unexpected accords, of harmony and disharmony. His work is predominated by the interest in landscape, in which he creates colour equivalents of the perceived reality, in order to make a deep intimate colour expression of the contemplated and fully experienced motif. His specific use of colours was developing and becoming more independent until it has reached its today’s simplified form. Therefore, we are able to see the metamorphosis from originally heavier landscape with thicker layers of colour into the newer, more understandable expression of thin layers with more eccentric colour use. The whole author’s experience and simpler, but more exact expressions in colour series and blocks allow us to glance into his rich inner landscape.
